Fireworks are thrilling — and they demand respect. Before you light anything, read these essential guidelines.

01

Adult Supervision Required

Always have a responsible adult present when fireworks are being handled or used.

02

Open Areas Only

Light fireworks in a wide, open space away from buildings, vehicles, and dry vegetation.

03

One at a Time

Light a single firework and step back immediately. Never relight a dud — wait 20 minutes and soak it in water.

04

Water Nearby

Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose close by for emergencies and cleanup.
